I saw reference made to you on the Taxi website; I am a songwriter (not musician) keen to get my songs heard / reviewed and eventually played; do you consider Taxi is a valid assist for songwriters in Oz – are they reputable?
Could you suggest how I can get with musicians to write and perform the music to my songs?

Yes Taxi is a good way to get your songs heard and used commercially however it is a long shot and I only got lucky with one particular track which was used for a tv show in the states.
It’s a numbers game, the more you submit the better your chances and they have to be what a potential client is looking for to. You could write the best song in the world but if it doesn’t suit their requirements you won’t get an offer. Just start networking and searching the web for musicians to write with and look for band adds in local music mags, they are often looking for writers.
